Used again and again by Megacorp, whose ‘personnel forces’ controlled and maintained most of this future world. They would work him to death, bring him back to life and then use him again. Reuse him again. Exactly that. The ones being ‘taken care of’ weren’t even aware of the Reuseables’ purpose – they were just plain scared of them.
And they had every reason to be.
What would your brain be like if you were brought back to life again and again? If you died so many times, you couldn’t recall the number?
Where would you be in rees’ future world? Would you be taken to be a “Reuseable”? Or would you be one of the mindless masses existing only for that which doesn’t exist anymore. Or would you be part of the greedy bastards at Megacorp? They are the only ones who seem to make out in this brutal world, or at least make something out of it. Their own.
